Kill them

The statement by National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah, which said Kashmir Ko Goli Maro didn’t surprise me at all. Dr Abdullah only said whatever is happening on ground in Kashmir these days. The only difference is that this time he made it abundantly clear that the entire Kashmir should be fired upon. What amazed me is to observe why Dr Farooq Abdullah is oblivious of the fact that Kashmir and Kashmiris are being fired upon for the past 20 years. Being a National Conference president, it is highly sad on part of Dr Farooq Abdullah to make a statement at a time when the entire Kashmir is burning. Such statements clearly reveal that the politicians are not bothered about the plight of Kashmir and Kashmiris. At New Delhi, they care fig for what is happening in Kashmir, and in the Valley, they shed crocodile tears over the civilian killings. This is sheer gimmickry and nothing else. As NC president, Dr Abdullah must apologize to the people of Kashmir for making a statement which proves that the blood of Kashmiris so cheap. I wonder why his son, Omar Abdullah, is not going public this time and countering his father by saying that Kashmiri blood is not cheap.
