HDFC Bank commissions 50th branch in JK

Srinagar, Dec 22: Marking an important milestone, HDFC Bank launched its 50th branch in Jammu and Kashmir, at Alamgari Bazaar here on Friday.
Senior PDP leader and MLA Pattan, Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, inaugurated the branch at a simple but impressive function at Alamgari Bazaar. Senior officers of the bank and a large public gathering were present.
With the inauguration of this branch, the bank has taken the tally of its branch network in J&K to 50 with 135 ATMs.
The branch will offer world-class banking services under one roof.
Ansari on the occasion appreciated the functioning of HDFC Bank and its services. He said the large scale expansion by the HDFC Bank in the state has created lot of job avenues for the unemployed youth and also created competitive environment in the banking industry.
Zubair Iqbal, Vice President, HDFC Bank said, “HDFC Bank now occupies an important place in the banking arena of the state and has become a vehicle of economic growth.”
