Ishant Sharma plays down injury 'rumours'
New Delhi, Feb 9: With most of India's assembly line of fast bowlers sidelined with injury, alarm bells were raised when Ishant Sharma headed Down Under, reportedly to consult a Melbourne specialist after experiencing pain in his ankle.
The Delhi pacer, however, tweeted that he was heading to Australia merely to get the insole fixed in his shoes. "Just going to make my insoles and I'm not injured!! I'm doing my training," Ishant tweeted.
A couple of hours later, he re-tweeted: "Once again I would like to confirm that I'm not injured. Just going (to) Australia to get my insoles. Avoid the rumours."
Sources close to the pacer told TOI: "Ishant has been training regularly and he's fit and available for the Australia series. He has to get his insoles fixed in his shoes to avoid putting too much pressure on the ankle."
