DFP condemns use of force against protesters

Srinagar, Feb 13: Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has strongly condemned, what it said, use of indiscriminate force including bul¬lets, tear smoke shells and pepper gas against peaceful protesters in Valley, terming it undemocratic and barbaric acts.
In a statement today, a spokesman of the League endorsed the demand for return of Afzal Guru’s mortal remains to Valley from Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
The spokesman has demanded the release all pro-freedom lead¬ers and activists including Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah who, according to him, is suffering from different ailments is presently lodged in Srinagar Central Jail.
