FEROZ FOR BEST MEDICARE TO PATIENTS
Srinagar, Feb 4: Minister of State for Medical Education, Feroz Ahmad Khan today inspected SMHS Hospital and Government Medical College Srinagar and took stock of facilities available to the patients.
On the occasion, the Minister asked the SMHS hospital management to ensure best possible medicare facilities to the patients.
Feroz who is also MoS for Science Technology and Information Technology also inspected Mechanical Engineering Workshop at Shalteng and enquired about the preparedness of the department to face any eventuality due to snowfall.
The Minister was informed that the department has kept its men and machinery ready for clearance of the snow from the roads. He was informed that 12 control rooms have been set up in the valley for the purpose.
Earlier, the Minister convened a meeting of the divisional administration and took stock of the food grains and other essential commodities available in the Valley.
The Minister was informed that sufficient quantity of food grains are available in the Valley which include 24378 metric tons rice, 7810 mt of wheat, 1600 mts of sugar besides 279000 cylinders of LPG which will suffice requirements of the people for next 25 days.
It was also informed in the meeting that verification of 85 percent Know Your Customer (KYC) forms has been completed so far.
