Tourism department to inaugurate new ski lifts today
Srinagar, Feb 6: The Tourism department Kashmir is going to inaugurate various newly installed projects at Gulmarg on Thursday.
The department has redeveloped ski lifts, constructed Tourist Reception centre, installed solar lighting of GD huts and constructed Ski Petrol Hut, Heli-Port at winter resort of Gulmarg.
The multiple projects would be inaugurated by Tourism Minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Minister of State for Tourism, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo and Agriculture Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir.
“We are going to inaugurate multiple projects at Gulmarg on Thursday. We have redeveloped the 30-years old ski lifts and we are also going to inaugurate all weather ski petrol huts at Kongdoori”, Tourism Talat Parvez said adding Tourist Reception Centre, solar lighting system and heli-portaid Director will also be inaugurated.“We are trying our best to make Gulmarg an ideal place for winter sport lovers. The construction of all-weather ski petrol hut at Kongdoori is an important step towards safe skiing,” he said.
