Kashmir pavilion inaugurated at IHGF

Srinagar, Feb 8: The Indian Handicraft Gift Fair (IHGF) Spring-2013 was flagged off today at Greater Noida, New Delhi.
The 4-day fair, 35th in series, which has been sanctioned by Union Ministry of Textiles shall come to end on February 11. The fair is being organised by the EPCH, New Delhi.
The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry which is participating the fair, has been given pavilion in the fair.
The KCCI has named the pavilion as ‘Kashmir Theme’ which was inaugurated by the Secretary Textiles, Ministry of Textile, government of India in presence of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, GOI and other Senior Officials of the Ministry, the KCCI said in a statement.
Giving details it said a good number of “our exporting members are participating in the fair.”
The Secretary Textiles, GOI praised the ‘Kashmir Theme’ and was impressed by the “efforts made by the KCCI in promoting the Kashmir Handicrafts at international events.”
