Solid Solar to electrify rural villages in JK
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Jan 9: Solid Solar, India's largest solar lights manufacturers, has drawn up an ambitious project to electrify rural villages in Jammu and Kashmir through the use of solar energy.
Reaching out to the various districts of J&K, the company has provided solar based home lighting systems, solar street lights and solar lanterns to remote and inaccessible villages of the hill state, the company said in a statement.
“Life in the mountain region can almost come to a standstill due to heavy snowfall in winters. For the last 5 years, use of solar lanterns and solar home lighting system backed by easy financing by J&K Bank has emerged as one of the most reliable, affordable and healthy alternative to conventional electricity in the region,” it said.
According to Shubhra Mohanka, Director, Solid Solar, “With the need to transform the off-grid landscape in the country, we plan to empower rural India by providing an access to electricity through affordable lighting solutions.”
Solid Solar is one of the earliest and oldest solar lighting system providers in J&K and has been “satisfying its customers with impeccable after sales and customer service for the last five years.”
