Form confederation to preserve Kashmiri language: AIKS
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Jammu, Jan 13: Calling for more efforts to promote Kashmiri language, All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) today asked for the formation of a confederation for its preservation.
"We stress upon the need for framing a confederation for preserving Kashmiri language, literature and culture in J-K," AIKS President Moti Kaul said in a three-day conference on the language here.
Various pockets are working for this cause but the need of the hour is to concentrate on making an amalgam and summing it all at one centre, he said.
AIKS will sit together and take this project forward, said Kaul.
Three-day seminar-cum-workshop was organised by Central Institute of Indian Languages Mysore in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art,Culture and Languages and under the aegis AIKS.
