SDWGA to field its team
GULMARG SKI CUP
Srinagar Jan 13: The Srinagar District Winter Games Association (SDWGA) is going to field its team in upcoming Gulmarg Ski Cup scheduled to be held at Gulmarg from January 18 to 20. The event would be organised by Directorate of Tourism (Kashmir) in collaboration with the Hoteliers Club.
“In the event we will field District Srinagar team and we are hoping to perform well in it. The event is open for all and we want to field separate team altogether in it. For that we are requesting all the intended Srinagar based skiers to register themselves,” said SDWGA President Mahmood Shah.
All those members of district association and other Srinagar based skiers have been asked
to fill up the forms immediately that are available at Adventure Wing, Tourist Reception
Centre, Srinagar. The last date for forms is fixed January 16. The Championship will be held in senior group (above 19 years) while for juniors and Children there are four groups as per their age. No body below 2002 (born) can take part.
The preliminary rounds will be held at Gulmarg on January 18. Those who qualify will have to stay at Gulmarg till January 20 and others will have to return Srinagar on the same date.
