HALF DAY TRAFFIC ON HIGHWAY
Jammu, Jan 16: In view of snowfall forecast, the traffic on highway from Jammu to Srinagar on Thursday would be permitted for half day only, an official spokesman said.
All the vehicles proceeding towards Srinagar shall cross Nagrota up to 8.00 am and Udhampur up to 10.00 am. Thereafter no vehicle shall be permitted to proceed to Srinagar, the spokesman said. The administration had earlier ordered closure of the 294 km highway, the only road linking Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, for full day on January 17 as a precautionary measure in view of the snow forecast.
