PTU fixes Jan 22 last date for admissions

Srinagar, Jan 20: Punjab Technical University (PTU) has fixed the date for admission of its current month batch up to Jan 22. B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said: “In J&K the 10+2 results come in January. But admissions for next session start in July. Due to this, the whole academic year of the students gets wasted. So the decision of the PTU will give a major relief to the students of J&K.” He said “In the interest of the students of the valley, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh has launched free help lines 98762-99888 and 84273-44888.”
Sidhu said as per the latest notification of PTU, the students can take direct admission in 2nd semester of B Tech & MBA. “The first semester of the students will be done during summer vacations later. As they will join 2012 session, they would be able to save one precious year of their academic career.” Sidhu said as per the new notification of PTU, this benefit would be available only to the students aspiring for B Tech, MBA, MCA, B.Arch. “The students can take direct admission in 2nd semester of these courses,” he said.
