MoS Home hails police for maintaining law and order

Srinagar, Jan 21: Minister of State for Home, Sajad Ahmed Kichloo, visited two police stations in Shaher-e-Khaas and interacted with police officers and cops.
A police spokesman said Kichloo visited police station Safa Kadal and M R Gunj. Kichloo was given a Guard of Honor on his arrival.
The Minister was accompanied by SSP Srinagar Aashiq Hussain Bukhari. On the occasion, the spokesman said Kichloo interacted with officers and policemen and appreciated their role in maintaining law and order and keeping a check on the crimes. Besides, the Minister hailed the police for being front runners in rescue and rehabilitation of people in case of any natural calamity.
“Policemen must hone their abilities of soft skills while dealing with people, as general public look upon police with lot of expectations,” the Minister said.
Kichloo had earlier held a security review meeting with senior officers of the police at police control room, Srinagar. The Minister had stressed upon the senior police officers to develop better police-public relations at the grassroots level so that the problems and grievances of general public can be mitigated.
