Legal Metrology books 24 erring traders

Srinagar, Jan 23: The field executives of Legal Metrology department booked 24 erring traders in Srinagar for violating packaged commodities, weights and measures laws.
 In a statement a spokesman of the department the team inspected markets of Jawahar Nagar ,Khanyar, Nowhatta, Lal Bazar Pampore and Handwara. “24 traders were booked for offering for sale of pre-packed commodities in violation of norms as laid down in Packaged commodities rules. A fine of Rs 12000 was realized from the defaulters,” the spokesman said.
