KHALID GUL
Islamabad (Anantnag), Jan 24: Qudsiya Bashir, who shared third position in the JKBOSE 12th class examinations hailing from Akingam village in this south Kashmir district is cold in her emotions as greetings pour to her even as she is proud to have been a student of Government School.
“I don’t think that studying in prestigious private institutes makes much of a difference, what really matters is handwork and perseverance,” says Kudsia who is a student of Government Higher Secondary School, Akingam a remote village in Achabal area.
She also believes in self study rather than relying on coaching. “For guidance you may go for private tuition but what ultimately matters is how much hard work you yourself put in,” says Qudsiya . She says that that she on an average used to devote six hours daily to her studies.
Qudsiya takes this chance in thanking Almighty, her parents and teachers while she adds that her parents and teachers never pushed her to do anything but always supported her.
Qudsiya has carved out her future plans in advance and is presently preparing for medical entrance. Though she wants to be a Civil Servant but her primary aim is to crack Medical Entrance examination (MBBS), “ My parents want to see me as a doctor and I want to full fill their wish but ultimately I want to go for IAS or KAS,” she addes
About her cold emotions, she says, “I don’t want to get carried away by this success. I have miles to go, that is why I am not excited.”
