JK Tourism bags 2 awards
Srinagar, Jan 27: J&K Tourism has won ‘Outlook traveller award 2012’ for Ladakh. The place has been voted as India’s favourite adventure tourism destination. J&K Tourism has also won an award for Vaishno Devi rated as the favourite pilgrimage site in India. The state shared this award with Andhra Pradesh Tourism as Tirumala-Tirupati has also been ranked as number one pilgrimage site along with Vaishno Devi, the tourism department said in a statement. AtalDulloo, Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Tourism & Culture Department, J&K, received the awards. The award ceremony was held on January 24 at Hotel Suryaa, New Delhi.
