Ensure smooth traffic in Srinagar; Sagar tells admin

Srinagar, Mar 9: As life limped back to normal in Srinagar Saturday after days of siege, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Ali Muhammad Sagar asked the authorities to ensure smooth traffic movement in the City.
 An official handout said he “directed the Traffic authorities to ensure smooth plying of traffic in the Srinagar City.”
 Sagar was chairing a high level meeting in the summer Capital.
 Among others, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Srinagar, Dr GN Qasba, Director Health Services Kashmir, Director Rural Development, Joint Director CA&PD, SP Traffic Srinagar, Haseeb ur Rehman, besides officers of various departments participated in the meeting.
 “The Minister also exhorted upon Commissioner SMC to maintain cleanliness in the City and ensure proper functioning of streetlights,” the handout said.
 “Sagar also directed Joint Director CA&PD to make available adequate quantities of essential commodities including Rice, Atta, K-oil and LPG to the consumers so that there shall be no inconvenience in this regard,” the handout added.
