Ramban, Nov 24: In a joint search operation police and the army recovered some arms and ammunition from Samiyal forest area of Khari tehsil on Friday.
Police sources said the army and police received information from reliable sources regarding the presence of a huge cache of arms and ammunition in the forest area of Sarniyal, Tehsil Khari.
Acting on the information a Police team from Police Post Khari and 23 RR stationed in the area rushed to the spot conducted a search operation and recovered arms and ammunition from a cave.
They recovered 7.62 mm cartridges-113, three AK 47 magazines, and 7.62 mm sniper carts.7, Pika rounds 5, Pika belt, two 1, 9mm cartridges, three rusted Chinese grenades, one rusted Pak-made grenade, UBGL, 2, detonators 2, fuse, FM transceiver (radio set) one, and Explosive 300 gram.
