Low-intensity earthquake felt in Kishtwar 

5.4 magnitude earthquake jolts Japan

Ramban, Nov 7: A low-intensity earthquake was felt in Kishtwar district of Chenab Valley on Tuesday, officials said.

They said that no loss of life or property was reported anywhere in the district.

   

As per the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 6:52 pm on Tuesday.

According to the NCS, “The earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred on November 7, at 6:52 pm in the latitude 33.38 N and longitude 76.59 E, depth of 10 km in Kishtwar.” The NCS said that the epicentre of the quake was 215 km north of Ayodhya at a depth of 10 km.

The district officers in Kishtwar said that no loss of life or property was reported anywhere in the district.
