Rs 10 lakh online defrauded amount recovered in Doda in May

Doda, May 19:  Cyber-Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of J&K Police district Doda recovered online defrauded money amounting Rs 10 lakh in the month of May, 2024.

While giving details, a police spokesperson said that the unit received complaints from complainants namely Larib Begum, resident of Bun Doda; Zaheer Abass, resident of Sazan, Doda; Rohit Singh, resident of Dhara ,Doda; Mohd Rafi, resident of Gandoh; Sunil Kumar Sharma, resident of Bhaderwah; Abdul Samad, resident of Sharore-Kastigarh, Doda; Danish Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of Bhalla , Doda; Sumesh Inder, resident of Shiva Nagar Kathua; Wahid Hussain, resident of Tantly, Gandoh; Tawinda Wani, resident of Doda and Suresh Kumar, resident of Bhalla, Doda.

   

“During the course of investigation, CCIU team exhibited hectic efforts and advanced technical skills which ultimately led to the successful recovery of a defrauded amount of Rs 10,07,960,” the spokesperson said.

CCIU Doda was established on February 7, 2024. “Since then the unit has successfully recovered huge defrauded money of Rs 19,97,555 so far,” the spokesperson informed.
