Traffic suspended on Bhadarwah-Pathankot highway after terror attack

Bhaderwah, June 12: Traffic has been suspended on Bhadarwah-Pathankot interstate highway beyond Nalthi village in view of a terrorist attack on a checkpost in Chattergala area that left six security personnel injured, officials said.

An official said that a search operation is currently underway in Chattergalla, Guldandi, Sarthal, Shankh Pader and Kailash Mountain range to look for terrorists.

   

He said the traffic movement has been suspended on the busy highway in view of the search operation.

On the attack, the official said that five soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles and a special police officer injured in the gunfight have been airlifted to command hospital Udhampur after initial treatment at SDH Bhadarwah.
