World Environment Day | DLSA, forest deptt organise plantation drive in Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah,  June 5: To celebrate the World Environment Day 2024, forest department in Collaboration with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA)  Bhaderwah organised plantation drive at New Court complex here.

The plantation drive that marked the World Environment Day 2024 is being celebrated with the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification And Drought Resilience”. Dozens of cedar saplings were planted at under construction New Court Complex Sarna.

   

Sub Judge and Secretary District Legal Services Authority Bhadarwah Ramesh Lal along with DFO Mohammad  Ayub Khan and officers of Forest department and district court planted Cedar saplings to encourage and motivate people especially youth to plant trees to save our Environment for present and future generations.

DFO Bhadarwah while talking to media  said that global warming is taking it’s toll on humans and animals in a big and frightening way and planting trees is the only remedy to save rarth from the inevitable disaster.

“The basic aim of today’s drive is to motivate people to save our forest also plant as many trees as they can. Forest department is ready to provide them the saplings whenever and wherever they ask for,” he said.
