Srinagar, Aug 27: Residents of Shah-e-Hamdan Colony in Zakura locality on city outskirts have demand undertake repairs of road in the area.

A delegation from the area said the road has not been repaired in the last two years.

“Due to uneven surface, inhabitants face problems to venture out. During rains, the road turn into cesspool due to potholes and absence of proper drainage system,” Shah Anayat Ullah residents rued.

“It is ironical that our locality has been left out of the Smart City project. The condition of the road is such as if we are living in some far-flung area. We make a fervent appeal to concerned authorities to look into the matter and undertake repairs of the road,” they said.
