‘Event marked significant moment in ongoing advocacy for gender parity’

Srinagar, Mar 8: The atmosphere at Kashmir University was charged with enthusiasm as participants from various backgrounds gathering to commemorate achievements of women on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The event served as a microcosm of the broader global effort, emphasising the collective responsibility needed to champion human rights and women’s empowerment. The Chief Justice, of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, N Kotiswar Singh, delivered a keynote address, underscoring the significance of recognising women’s contributions across all facets of society.

   

During the function, various speakers and panellists delved into the multifaceted aspects of the women’s rights’ movement. Discussions ranged from the achievements women have made in different fields to the persistent challenges that require collective efforts for resolution.
