Independence Day celebrated at Srinagar Airport

Srinagar, Aug 15: 78th Independence Day was celebrated at Srinagar International Airport today.

On the occasion, Javed Anjum, Airport Director was the chief guest. Accompanied by Rubana Aslam, president Kalyanmayee, Vishnu Dwivedi, Commandant, CRPF, A.P. Singh CASO, CISF and Rupesh Kumar, RD BCAS, Anjum hoisted the National Flag. He was accorded Guard of Honour jointly by CISF and CRPF. JAKLAI band also performed.

   

Addressing the gathering, the Director gave an insight about the various initiatives like procurement of new carts, expansion of the Airport, and addition of new F&B counters. He appreciated the efforts of security forces by honouring them for their contribution in aviation security.

Anjali Gupta, MGR(CNS) conducted the event. Appreciation letter for meritorious services was awarded to personnel of all security forces, airlines, oil agencies, Airport health services, Airports Authority of India.
