Srinagar bravehearts who saved boy from drowning in Jhelum felicitated

Srinagar, May 30: Kashmir Welfare Trust (KWT) today felicitated two bravehearts who saved a seven-year-old boy from drowning in river Jhelum near Safa Kadal locality.

The event was organised by KWT in collaboration with Kashmir Concern and other allied NGOs. “I am deeply honoured to share the success of today’s felicitation event. We celebrated the incredible bravery of Showkat Ahmad Sofi and Zahoor Ahmad Khanday, who saved a seven-year-old boy from drowning in the River Jhelum. They risked their lives for this selfless act. They are the true embodiment of courage and compassion. Together, let’s continue to promote acts of bravery and celebrate our unsung heroes.,” said the chairman of KWT Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo.

   

Wangnoo expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, NGO heads, civil society members, and volunteers who graced the occasion. He extended special thanks to Jehangir Bakshi, Secretary DLSA, and former Chief Secretary Muhammad Shafi Pandit besides M.A Shah for their presence.
