Srinagar, June 1: A youth was critically injured after he was stabbed by unidentified persons at Karan Nagar area here today.
Officials said the youth identified as Ahsan Zargar son of Hilal Ahmad Zargar of Zampa Kadal area of Chattabal was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon near Karan Nagar. He was later shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
An official from SMHS hospital said that they received a youth with multiple stabbing injuries at the surgical emergency of the hospital.
“He has multiple injuries, including in the left side of his abdomen, left upper arm, and left shoulder. He is being treated by our doctors accordingly,” said the official.
A police official, while confirming the incident in the area, said that they have lodged an FIR in this regard.
“We have started investigation in this regard, and we are also questioning the suspects,” said the official.
