Aloha J&K conducts GAT prelims

Srinagar, June 14: Aloha conducted the first phase (prelims) of its General Ability Test (GAT), a three-tier exam for students of 5th to 10th class on Friday.

According to organisers, the GAT witnessed the participation of more than 2300 students.

Three centres were designated – one in central Kashmir (GDC Bemina), one in south Kashmir (GDC Women Anantnag and one in north Kashmir (SRM Welkin Sopore).

GAT prelims is a 90-minute multiple choice exam and students are tested in different domains of knowledge while the pattern is an insight into what future competitive exams are going to be like.

The prelims would be followed by the 2nd-tier which is the mains (a descriptive type) exam.

The last and final phase is the personality test or an interview where students would have to appear before a panel of luminaries and achievers.

This year the toppers would be taken to the Museum of the Future, Dubai.

More prizes include laptops and smartwatches.

“Aimed to prepare kids for the future, GAT is a flagship activity of Aloha J&K that was started in 2009 with an idea to align kids with the future at an early age,” the organisers said.
