GVEI hosts event on global affairs

Srinagar, Dec 21: Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) Thursday organised the Green Valley Model United Nations 2023, a dynamic platform for young minds to engage in diplomatic discourse and global affairs.

The event, held within GVEI campus, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing prestigious schools across Kashmir viz. Burn Hall, RP School, Kashmir Harvard, DPS Budgam and others.

   

Muhammad Aslam, Joint Director Information Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion, and was accompanied by Burhan Hussain, Assistant Director Information Kashmir. The dignitaries shared insights on the significance of Model United Nations (MUNs) in shaping confident individuals capable of understanding the complexities of global governance.

Prof. M. Y. Ganai, Dean Social Sciences and Head Department of History at the University of Kashmir, was the guest of honour. Prof. Ganai emphasised the crucial role MUNs play in fostering an understanding of international relations and assembly concepts among students.

The Green Valley Model United Nations featured four committees named UNHRC, UNW, AIPPM, and UNSC—where participants engaged in lively discussions and debates on pressing global issues.
