Suspicious movement on LoC in Rajouri

Rajouri, July 18: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, guarding the Line of Control (LoC) in the Sunderbani sector of the Rajouri district, resorted to firing after observing suspicious movement, being presumed to be part of an infiltration attempt.

The incident happened on Wednesday night in the Daddal area of Sunderbani of Rajouri district.

   

Officials said that BSF personnel, performing sentry duty at a forward (BSF) post on LoC observed suspicious movement at a forward location. Movement is being taken as an infiltration attempt.

“The troops resorted to area domination firing thereby thwarting the possible attempt of infiltration,” said officials.

They said that a close vigil was being maintained in the entire area.

Security, both on the LoC as well as hinterland in the border district of Rajouri is at the highest level of alertness amid a spurt in terror-related movement and activities.
