Poonch, Aug 30: One person died and two others were injured on Friday when a vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a shooting stone along the Mughal Road which connects south Kashmir’s Shopian to the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu.
Quoting official sources news agency GNS reported that the vehicle, a car, under registrations no. JK11A-4674, was on its way from Kashmir Valley to Bufliaz when a shooting stone hit it at Chatta Pani in Surankote area of Poonch district.
Three persons travelling in the vehicle were injured. They were later shifted to hospital where one of them identified as Shahzad Ahmad son of Saif Ullah of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri succumbed to injuries, they said.
Two others, Mohammad Afzal son of Shah Mohammad and Lal Hussain son of Shab Din, also residents of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri, are under treatment, they added.
A police officer said that a case has been registered in this regard.
