Poonch, June 29: Security forces launched searches in an area close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch’s Krishna Ghati sector after a brief exchange of fire took place between the two sides on Friday night.
This firing was reported along the LoC in the area after the forward location of the Indian Army initially received the fire of small arms that was responded to and retaliated.
Sources said that around 50 or so bullets were exchanged between both sides but no casualty has taken place in the firing which lasted for a brief period of a few minutes.
Meanwhile, after this incident, vigil in the area has been intensified and searches have been launched.
Sources said that the area along LoC has been put under close vigil and searches are underway.
