Exit polls predict majority for PM Narendra Modi-led NDA

New Delhi, June 1:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to return to power for a third consecutive term, according to the majority of exit poll surveys.

These polls predict a resounding victory for the Narendra Modi-led NDA government, projecting over 350 seats for the alliance.

The opposition’s INDIA bloc is expected to secure between 125 and 150 seats. The exit polls indicate a significant achievement for the BJP, including a notable foothold in South India, which has traditionally been a challenging region for the party.

If these predictions hold, Modi’s leadership will continue to shape India’s political landscape with a strengthened mandate.

At the end of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, several media houses and psephologists conducted exit polls to predict the nation’s electoral mood.

These post-election surveys offer a glimpse into potential outcomes but are not definitive.

Election Battle Overview

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections have  been a fierce contest between two major alliances: the BJP-led NDA and the Congress-led INDIA bloc. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s NDA is striving for a third consecutive term, aiming to continue its governance. Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc has been vigorously campaigning to challenge the incumbent government and secure a significant victory.

The 2019 exit polls had similarly forecasted a substantial win for the BJP, which proved accurate. However, it is crucial to note that exit polls are not the same as official results. These indicate the potential outcome but do not guarantee it. The final and official results of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be declared by the Election Commission of India on June 4. Until then, the nation waits with bated breath to see how accurate these predictions will be and what the future holds for India’s political landscape.
