Srinagar, Aug 06: A gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur in Jammu, reports said Tuesday.
As per reports, the security forces had launched a search operation and have established a contact with the terrorists in the area.
After specific inputs regarding some movement in the area, a Search And Destroy Operation (SADO) was launched in the wee hours today. Contact has been established with a group of terrorists in Khaned area of PS Basantgarh, DIG Udhampur Range wrote on official X-handle.

SSP Udhampur Joginder Singh said that the contact with the terrorists has been established at Khaned in Basantgarh area of Udhampur. Operation is on to eliminate the terrorists, he said.
