Man dies after vehicle rolls down in north Kashmir’s Bandipora

Bandipora, Aug 26: A 30-year-old man died even as a girl suffered internal injuries after a vehicle they were travelling in rolled down a hill along the mountainous region of Panar in north Kashmir’s Bandipora.

Officials said that an accident took place at Panar village, Bandipora where a vehicle bearing registration no. JK15B 8256 rolled down the road.

   

The vehicle was boarded by Showkat Ahmad Khan (30), son of Fayaz Ahmad Khan, resident of Turkpora, and Umiya Shahnaz (21), daughter of Shahnaz Ahmad Mir, resident of Quilmuqam.

They were both shifted to the District Hospital Bandipora, where doctors declared Showkat Ahmad (the driver of the car) as dead.

The hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr MS Koka told Greater Kashmir that the man has died while the girl has had a panic attack.

The girl as per latest reports have been referred to Srinagar after Fast Scan revealed internal injuries.
