‘Pakistani person’ killed, two soldiers injured in firing exchange along LoC in Kupwara: Army

Srinagar, July 27: Army on Saturday said two soldiers were injured in an exchange of fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A ‘Pakistani person’ was also killed in the exchange of fire at a forward post in Kamkari Macchal sector.

   

“There has been exchange of fire with unidentified personnel on a forward post in Kamkari, Macchal Sector on the line of control. One Pakistani person has been killed while two of our soldiers have suffered injuries and have been evacuated,” said the Army’s Chinar Corps in a post on X.

He said the operations are in progress.

Earlier, reports quoting sources said that three soldiers were injured in the exchange of fire.
