Kargil, Aug 22: At least six people lost their lives and several others were injured after a school bus skidded off the road near Durbuk in Leh district of Ladakh on Thursday .
Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhdev told Greater Kashmir that the bus which belongs to a school was carrying staff and at least two children in it was on way to Durbuk area when it met with the accident.
DC said six people have died and that the rescue operation has been launched and all injured have been shifted to nearby medical facility of Army for first aid.
He said that the critically injured will be shifted to Leh for specialized medical treatment.
