Srinagar, Aug 06: A U.S citizen has been detained for carrying a satellite phone at the Srinagar International Airport, officials said Tuesday.
Speaking to Greater Kashmir, SHO Humhama, Mohd Adil Dar said that a citizen from United States was held with a satellite phone.
He said that the citizen has been taken into custody, and soon a charge-sheet would be provided.
He said that apparently the person didn’t know the rules-that carrying a satellite phone is prohibited here.
Regarding more details and the purpose of carrying the device, the SHO said that will be investigated.
