Srinagar, Jun 10: Srinagar Traffic Police on Monday seized a vehicle after a video surfaced on the internet where the driver of the vehicle was seen performing a stunt. The traffic police has also recommended the concerned authorities to suspend the driver’s license.
In a video that went viral on the internet, the driver was seen accelerating his pickup-truck in the middle of night and simultaneously climbing up to the roof of the vehicle.
Quoting a senior traffic police official, news agency KNO reported that after receiving the reports and the video, a swift action was initiated and the driver was located.

While his vehicle was seized, the drive was counselled by the traffic police even as the suspension of his driving license was recommended to the concerned officials, they said.
In a tweet, City Traffic Police on its official X account confirmed the action and wrote, “Traffic City Srinagar Seized One Mini Load Carrier Involved In Dangerous Stunt During Night Hours. Action Under Relevant Sections Of Motor Vehicle Act Taken And License Of Driver Has Been Recommended For Suspension.”
The senior officer said that the driver now faces legal action under the relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The official said that there is zero-tolerance policy towards such actions and that the swift response to this incident serves as a reminder to all drivers about the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and the severe consequences of violating them.
