Srinagar, Aug 17: The Turkish parliament on Saturday was turned into a wrestling ring after country’s lawmakers got into a hand-to-hand combat amid a pandemonium.

The chaos erupted over a jailed opposition deputy, Can Atalay, who was stripped of immunity, reported Times of India.

The fight started after one MP, Ahmet Sik called the ruling majority “terrorists,” AFP reported.

Ruling AKP member Alpay Ozalan shoved Sik to the ground, triggering the clashes.

Sik was punched several times by the members of ruling party as he lay on the floor.

The violent confrontation left at least two lawmakers injured, forcing a suspension of the parliamentary session.

Blood stains were visible on the parliament floor and stairs.

Following this, parliament members were seen cleaning the blood stains on the floor.
