3 Inspectors placed as DySPs on stop-gap basis

Govt constitutes 8-member committee to examine, expedite adoption of Model Police Act 2006

Jammu, Jan 8: J&K Home Department Monday placed three Inspectors as in-charge Deputy Superintendent of Police on a stop-gap basis.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the placement of these Inspectors (Steno) as in-charge Deputy Superintendent of Police (Steno)-Private Secretary, on a stop-gap basis, in their pay and grade,” read an order issued by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Home Raj Kumar Goyal.

   

The Inspectors who have been placed as in-charge Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) included Mohammad Amin Wani; Ghulam Hyder Malik and Sunil Kumar.

“The arrangement is made purely in the interest of administration and shall not confer any right on the incumbent to claim preferential treatment for promotion, as and when the same is made by the relevant rules,” Goyal has specified.

As per the order, these placements will be without prejudice to the outcome of writ petitions, if any, pending consideration before the court or Tribunal of competent jurisdiction or any existing or future orders of the courts.
