Jammu, June 11: J&K Home department has approved the creation of 48 posts of various categories for the District Mobile Forensic Units of J&K Forensic Science Laboratory, with a corresponding reduction of 60 posts for the implementation and operationalization of new criminal laws:
48 posts created included 23 posts of Assistant Scientific Officer Level 6-E (35900-113500); 1 post each of Laboratory Technician Level 5 (29200-92300) and Laboratory Attendant SL-2 (15900-50400) and 23 posts of driver Level-2 (19900-63200).
60 posts reduced in J&K FSL included 20 posts each of Head Investigator Crime Scene Level-5 (29200-92300), Crime scene Investigator (SG Constable) Level-4 (25500-81100) and Crime Scene Assistant (Constable) Level- 02 (19900-63200).
“This has been issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department communicated vide U.O No. FD-Code/445/2021-02-1577 dated May 10, 2024 and the approval of competent authority dated June 5, 2024,” order read.
