“Repair and develop Harnambal ground in Natipora, Srinagar”

Thousands of sports lovers who used to play and practice football and cricket at Harnambal ground of Natipora, Srinagar express resentment towards the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council for not developing the said sports field on modern lines. Despite investing over Rs 2 Crore, the State Sports Council has failed to make UEED accountable. The Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED) has miserably failed to shift the main drain along with the sports stadium in the area. The Harnambal sports field has turned into a cesspool. People from Nowgam, Natipora, Rambagh, Mehjoor Nagar, Padshahi Bagh, Budshah Nagar, Chanapora used to play on this ground but due to negligence of UEED and Sports Council, it has taken the shape of a pond.

We, therefore, seek the intervention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha so that our grievance is resolved at the earliest.
