Srinagar, Aug 02: The government on Friday relieved Altaf Ahmad Shah, from his duties in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, and posted Ashok Kumar Sharma, Commandant IRP-24th Bn as new SSP Security J&K.

“In pursuance of the approval of Competent Authority to the transfer of Shri Altaf Ahmad Shah, IPS (AGMUT: 2013), SSP Security, J&K to the Union Territory of Ladakh, the officer is hereby relieved from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, to enable him to join in the Union Territory of Ladakh,” reads an order issued by Home Department, J&K Government, a copy of which lies with Greater Kashmir.

   

“Consequent to the above, Shri Ashok Kumar Sharma, Commandant IRP-24th Bn, is transferred and posted as Senior Superintendent of Police, Security, J&K,” the order reads.
