1 dead, 3 injured in Chenani road accident

Ramban, Mar 31: One person died and three others injured in a road accident at Chenani today.

Reports said the mishap occurred when a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Kharangal on the Chenani-Ladha link road in Udhampur district.

   

Police sources said a rashly driven Bolero Jeep bearing registration number JK14K-0594 went out of control of its driver and plunged into a gorge resulting in the death of the driver. Three others sustained injuries.

They said on getting information Police with the help of locals shifted the dead and injured to the Community Health Center (CHC).Police identified the deceased driver as Rinku (32 ) son of Gyan Chand resident of W.No. 03 Madha Tehsil Chenani, district Udhampur. The injured were identified as Neeraj Singh son of Sansar Singh, Ramesh Singh son of Amarnath and Joginder Singh son of Raj Singh all residents of village Kither, Chennai district Udhampur. They are responding to the treatment at CHC Chenani.

APolice officer said Udhampur Police has registered a case at Police Station Chenani for further investigations.
