3 bovine smuggling attempts foiled in Udhampur

Ramban, Aug 25: Udhampur Police foiled three bovine smuggling attempts, arrested three persons and rescued 17 bovine animals today.

Two vehicles used in bovine smuggling were seized.

   

Police sources said a Police team of Police Post Roundomail established a Naka on National Highway and intercepted a vehicle (Tata Yodha) bearing registration number JK14H- 9123 and vehicle (Bolero Pickup) bearing registration number JK14J-1477 during checking 15 bovine animals found loaded in both the vehicles. They said drivers of both the vehicles were arrested and vehicles were seized.

Earlier, a Police team of Police Station Panchari apprehended a person who was carrying two bovine animals on foot towards valley Kashmir.

Udhampur Police has registered three separate cases at Police Station Udhampur and Police Panchari under relevant sections of BNS and 11 PC Act.
