Grievances received from ECI: Johar appointed Nodal Officer for furnishing reports

Jammu, Sep 3: Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Jatinder Singh Johar as Nodal Officer for furnishing reports in respect of grievances received from the Election Commission of India (ECI), during the elections to the J&K Legislative Assembly.

“Based on the consultation with PHQ in the coordination meeting held in the Home Department on September 2, 2024, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Jatinder Singh Johar, IPS, AIG (Crime & Complaints) PHQ, J&K as Nodal Officer, for coordinating and furnishing of reports in respect of grievances received from Election Commission of India, during the General Elections to Legislative Assembly in the UT of J&K, 2024,” read an order issued by Principal Secretary, Home, Chandraker Bharti.
