SVEEP walkathon held in Doda schools

Doda, Aug 30: In continuation of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program a walkathon was held across schools in Doda District, promoting electoral awareness and encouraging citizens to exercise their right to vote.

Students, teachers and staff from different schools participated enthusiastically in the walkathon, carrying placards and banners with slogans emphasizing the importance of voting and democratic participation.

   

The event aimed to educate and motivate citizens, particularly young voters, to cast their votes in the upcoming Assembly Elections on 18th September 2024.

The walkathon was a district-wide initiative, covering multiple schools and locations, and was designed to reach a large audience. By organizing the event, the district administration and education department aimed to inspire young minds to become active participants in the democratic process.

“The SVEEP walkathon is a testament to our commitment to strengthening democracy and promoting civic engagement among our citizens,” said Parkash Lal Thapa (CEO), Nodal Officer SVEEP Doda.

The walkathon was a successful initiative, promoting electoral awareness and encouraging civic engagement among citizens in Doda District under the guidance of Harvinder Singh District Election Officer Doda.
