Srinagar, Sep 04: A man was killed and another was injured after a slab of an under-construction building collapsed in Model Town Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Reports said that a slab of an under-construction building collapsed near Baba Motors in Model Town, Sopore, resulting in one person’s death and another sustaining serious injuries.
Both were taken to SDH Sopore where one among them was declared brought dead by doctor, while the other person underwent treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Aadil Ahmad Dar, 22, of Nowpora Kalan Sopore, and the injured one as Javeed Ahmad Dar of Nowpora Kalan Sopore.
According to reports the duo are construction workers and were doing some work near the under construction building, when this incident took place. Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigations have been taken up.
