23 flights cancelled at Srinagar airport

Srinagar, Feb 20: As many as 23 flights were cancelled at Srinagar International Airport as the operations were hit due to continuous snowfall on Tuesday.

The operation will be resumed on Wednesday if the weather improves, Director Srinagar International Airport Javad Anjum said.

   

The snowfall created challenging conditions for airport operations.

Anjum told Greater Kashmir that in case weather improved on Wednesday operations will resume.

Officials said that the decision to cancel 23 flights was made in the interest of passenger safety and to avoid any potential mishaps during adverse weather conditions. The Meteorological Department has predicted that erratic weather will likely continue for the next 24 hours.

The authorities have urged residents and travelers to exercise caution and follow safety protocols during this period.

The travelers have been advised to stay updated with airline notifications and check for further updates on the status of flights from the Srinagar International Airport.
